Home Mods Inc. was formed out of a collaboration of ideas of the founders Eric and Jessica Shudak. Jessica, who has a Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy from Misercordia University has been a Physical Therapist for over 13 years and enjoys helping people with everyday struggles. She has focused her career in the Home Health setting.
As a caring and compassionate person, Jessica always listened to her patients’ complaints of which most had the same underlying tone -- they needed help with their environment (be it in their apartment, house, bathroom or kitchen). They felt contractors didn’t know anything about what was required for their situation, were afraid of being exploited due to their age or medical problems and felt hesitant to hire them. Jessica knew her husband, Eric, enjoyed remodeling and building things in his free time so suggested to start a company to help with the issues her patients were facing on a daily basis. Eric decided to compliment his Master's in Business and Electrical Engineering degree with an Executive Certificate in Home Modifications program from the National Resource Center on Supportive Housing and Home Modifications from the University of Southern California. Home Mods Inc. is eager to help people with their ongoing struggles by removing those annoying chores and "put-off" upgrades to their living situation. It is everyone's goal to "age in place" being SAFE and HAPPY in their OWN home.
